Rain City Cinema was founded in 1997 by Paul Gorman. He is a graduate of the University of Washington's Extension Program in Advance Filmmaking.
A veteran of feature film production, short films and national and regional commercials, and training films, his credits include: Director, Producer, Editor, Screenwriter, Actor, Narrator, Transportation Cordinatior, Grip, Gaffer, Camera Operator, and Production Assistant.
His first screenplay landed him an agent in LA., his second an option in Vancouver, Canada, and his fourth and fifth were produced as full length stage plays.
His short films have been acclaimed by Seattle Times and Rotten Tomatos' critics, John Hartle and John Voorhees. His short film The Last Mirage screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
His feature film, Broken Frame was acclaimed as "Film of The Day" in the UK and chosen as a Pick Of The Week by Seattle's Scarecrow Video.
His second feature film, Ride The Sky was an official selection at film festivals in Croatia and Canada where it won awards, and in 2014 appeared at four film festivals in the U.S..
His third feature film, Roma Vendetta is being submitted to film festivals through out the U.S. where it is expected to make its premiere in 2015.
In addition to being the founder of Rain City Cinema, Paul Gorman is the creator and founder of B-Roll Cloud, which launched in April, 2013. B-Roll Cloud provides free b-roll footage to filmmakers.
Rain City Cinema LLC's mission is to produce unique and entertaining films with little budget.
We are dedicated to the art of good story telling and believe that independent filmmaking is a necessary alternative to Hollywood.
